1767 'labourers are losing their time to come and go to the tea table; nay farmers servants are even demanding tea for breakfast with the maids. As much superfluous money is wasted on tea as would maintain 4 million more subjects on bread.'

-bready subject maintainance seems slightly harsh. Surely the wealthy land owners could spare a cup of pg tips and a 5 minute break in the hard labour? mind you, avid blog readerators, builders these days do somewhat take advantage of the tea break. Next time, i'm just going to give the plasterer a crusty bit of hovis, see if that doesnt get him grafting quicker.

In other news, the tea was put in the post today, so we are excitably awaiting its arrival.
